What Is It About Jeeps?
Ex-Post Office Jeeps specifically, that attracts complete wackos? Maybe it’s because no matter how cheap they are, there has got to be a less awkward, more sensible option for the same price? Maybe it’s because no matter what you do to it (short of moving the steering wheel to the correct side) it will always scream your skin-flinty-ness at the top of its lungs?
I spotted this one at the local supermarket. I like the dichotomy of the flame job versus the cute window treatment in the back.
The death head with wings on the hood makes me think this was owned by Lt-Colonel Kilgore when indeed “this war’s gonna end” came to pass and he came back to the states. But then I’ve seen too many movies.
