So what do you drive on your weekend run to the hardware store while doing errands? Many people have a dedicated, slightly beat up, more utilitarian vehicle just for this purpose. If this is “I <3 Neddy” weekend errand runner I have to wonder what else is in the garage? Of course, since a mid-80s […]

A friend sent me this recent shot of a Camry “Collector Edition” Yes, the best selling car in the country for the last 30 years, and someone somewhere (the dealer? Toyota USA?) thought they could move a few more units by slapping “Collector Edition” decals all over it. Once again the Onion is more real […]
Back in June of 2011 I spotted this off-road ready Mercedes Benz Gazelle replica kit car in the parking lot of the junk yard. Well, today I saw it cruising down the street and it appears to have sprouted a full off road spec roll cage since the last time I saw it.
Not a hell of a lot of information on this one, but lets go from what we can see. It looks like a 1st generation Honda Goldwing GL1000 front end, welded to a modified 70s Toyota pick up truck, powered by what looks to be a GM 2.8 FWD 60 degree V6 driver train from […]
Spotted this one over on the 24 Hours of Lemons forums, but its not getting the attention it deserves. Besides being a very rare (for the USA) 1957 British Ford Anglia wagon, it also features a full tubular header and a canvas sunroof over the entire passenger compartment! On top of all that it belonged […]
UPDATE: No longer for sale at the moment For sale, ready to race for $4000, also available to rent for photo shoots, motion picture, music video or commercial work, but I will be coming along to babysit. Have you heard about the 24 Hours of Lemons endurance racing series? Its real wheel to wheel endurance […]
I feel like I tracked a rare wild species to its breeding ground. I bet the owner found something to love on every aisle.
I can’t take credit for this it was tweeted, and on the BCAS earlier today, but here is is in all its glory a Cowboy Cadillac that seems to have driven thru the J.C.Whitney warehouse attracting accessories. I’m going to start with my favorite picture because it is the wrongest of them all. Despite what […]
Have you heard of the 24 Hours of Lemons? No, not LeMans, the city in France, lemons, the citrus fruit, or in the vernacular, horrible cars that can’t be fixed and nobody wants. Years ago an automotive magazine writer with a sense of humor created a race for cars that don’t belong on a racetrack, […]
Some people claim 24 Hours of Lemons is a waste of good cars, but wouldn’t you rather see this 1970 Ford Mustang running around a road course than running errands to Home Depot, where I shot this? It looks as if someone in high school in 1981 tricked this thing out with shackles, big wide […]
