I’m selling my Scooter – Low Miles 1981 Honda C70 Passport
UPDATE: SOLD!!! But I am always looking for other low dollar, low mile projects
Okay, I’ve had this for a few years, but its time to move on. I believe I am the second owner, the first owner was a retired fellow who kept it on his RV. There are about 2000 miles on this bike. Everything works perfectly, even the electric starter, which tends to be finicky on these bikes.
Like all C70/Super Cub/Passport it has a 3 speed transmission and an automatic clutch. You will easily see 100mpg, while cruising at 30-40mph. Even with me on it at 250lbs it will easily hit 40mph. I have ridden it two up with my wife and it still will cruise at 35mph. Top speed in 2nd gear for climbing hills is 25-30mph, but it will go anywhere you want to, slowly. I have ridden it from Van Nuys to Hollywood over the Cahuenga Pass many times. Its slow but reliable.
Its got a brand new battery, all the lights work perfectly, the carb was cleaned recently and the tires are just a few years old. The seat on this one was dried and cracked, so now its got a unique 2 tone gold metallic and metalflake seat, which looks great. The electric start works fine, and you can kick it too.
It weighs less than 200lbs, so its also a perfect pit bike or campground bike: 2 people (or one big one) can load it easily without a ramp.
1981 was one of the last years that we in the USA got the classic style Honda Super Cub, buy this one and go out and meet some of those nicest people Honda promised – $1750 OBO. takes it home. The registration is good until April, 2013. Call me with questions, but don’t bother lowballing me before you even see it. I have a pick up truck and will deliver within a reasonable distance.
