A friend sent me this recent shot of a Camry “Collector Edition”
I’m sorry, somehow the iPhone encoded this so no matter what I do it always reverts to being sideways
Yes, the best selling car in the country for the last 30 years, and someone somewhere (the dealer? Toyota USA?) thought they could move a few more units by slapping “Collector Edition” decals all over it.
Once again the Onion is more real that reality: Everything In Entire World Now Collectible
But maybe I’m wrong? Now that I look at it, it’s not a “Collector’s Edition” it’s the “Collector Edition” so maybe its a tie in to Comic Book Guy’s villain in that 1 episode of the Simpsons?

Oh, you would think that. I tried MSPaint, I tried MSOffice picture manager, I even tried savings it as a BitMap in Paint, then converting it back to a Jpg. Same, nothing worked. Maybe it has something to do with WordPress? I don’t know.

SO true! The idiocy of sticking a label on every-damned-thing simply makes the owner look a fool. I’ve seen “collectible/collector’s edition” pie plates, bottles of rootbeer, T-shirts, spanner sets, vegetable oil for cooking (!). But yes, collectible Camry is absurd.
